Acer H5360 review - 3D Vision compatible Projector
Acer H5360 review
Acer created and launched one of the first 3D compatible projectors, the H5360. It is a HD Ready projector in the 16:9 format, that supports a resolution of 720p (1280x720), and that is based on Texas Instrument's DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology.
The H5360 has an HDMI connector to enjoy your digital content in high definition. With a brightness of 2500 ANSI Lumens (2000 in ECO mode, a power management solution that reduces power consumption by up to 20%) and a convincing contrast ratio of 3200:1, images displayed by this Acer projector are particularly clear and crisp.
The acer H5360 is compatible with NVIDIA's 3D Vision technology, which involves using a computer with a video card of this technology (one of the relatively latest but yet common NVIDIA GeForce cards). With images refreshing at a rate of 120 Hz, the H5360 makes it possible, using NVIDIA's 3D vision polarised eyeglasses synchronised with the projector, to display alternating stereoscopic images to the left and right eyes at a 60Hz rate each, which enables smooth looking transitions.
The images comes directly from the computer's GPU, using the information used for the basic "flat" 3D rendering, which means that it works for games that were not necessarily intended to be played in stereoscopic 3D. Thus, it is possible to enjoy hundreds of video games in 3D. But note that at the time of this writing, the lack of adapted solutions makes it not possible to watch movies in 3D. Color performance is enhanced on any surface using the Acer ColorBoost II+ technology and wall-color compensation, while ColorSafe prevents color decay resulting from extended use of the projector.
The acer H5360 comes with a remote control.
